The feature to display images can be disabled when you start the ccWAP Browser. When disabled, all images will be replaced by the attached alternative text.
Tables including alignment of columns, defined since WML 1.2.
Preformatted text, defined since WML 1.2, and in addition do-elements within preformatted text as defined in WML 1.3.
The attribute newcontext of a card is honored. By default it clears all variables and the history, as defined in the WML specification.
On startup of the ccWAP-Browser you can choose to remember the previous state. When navigating backward the variable state and the history will be restored.
You can always reset the ccWAP Browser to its initial state by activating the button Home. The current state can be inspected by using the button Debug.
All of the base functionality like text formatting, hyper links and anchors, tasks, paragraphs, input elements, selection lists, variables, do-elements, templates, and so on is supported.
Additionally, ccWAP Browser offers some fixed buttons. Four of them are the navigation buttons Back, Forward, Reload and Home. Two other buttons, Source and Info, allows the user to view the source of the current deck or to get some information about it.
The user can choose between different device types (Mobile Phones, PDAs, ...) which influence the size of the display area, the functionality of the browser and the number of available navigation buttons.
The ccWAP Browser can fetch documents from servers using HTTP (http://), connection-less WSP over UDP (wsp://) or directly from the local file system (file://).
If neccessary, the browser is able to use a Proxy-Server or a WAP-Gateway, but proxy-authentication is not supported at this time.
The protocol can be either HTTP (Proxy-Server) or connection-less WSP over UDP (WAP-Gateway).
Since ccWAP Browser is a web-server, it can be accessed as a service by anyone, from anywhere, at any time, in an Intranet or over the Internet.
